Play, skit, and lessons explore dinosaur habitats of carnivores and herbivores. One clever exercise has students “make-up-a-saurus” as they demonstrate the common use of prefixes and suffixes.

About the Walk-in Storybook
The 5-panel Storybook is a 5-foot tall x 14-foot wide backdrop that attaches to an adjustable frame (sold separately). Each two-sided scene, constructed of flexible canvas-like panels, are easy to roll up and store in a tube. The lightweight frame is very simple to position in almost any configuration and then folds away neatly when not in use.

Dinosaurs Web App
The web-based app (included with Storybook purchase) is used with the realistic DINOSAURS backdrop and provides fun games and activities related to the theme. You can:

- Listen to sounds or make your own
- Challenge your brain with Q&A’s
- Assemble jigsaw puzzles
- Test your memory skills
NOTE: Although the app adds another level of interaction, it is not required for use with the Junior Storybook and play figure.

Two-Act Play
"Dinosaur Sleepover" is a comic investigation into dinosaurs and their environment and inspires students to use their imaginations as a jumping off point for inquiry.
Skit
The skit is a shorter version of the two-act play and requires only 6 actors. This option is perfect for smaller classes or for occasions when time is limited.
Lessons
Four separate lessons cover reading, vocabulary, science, reading, and Spanish language. National Standards include NS.K-4.1 Science as Inquiry and NL-ENG.K-12.3 Evaluation Strategies.
Teacher Introduction
Includes all you need to direct a play: Background Information, Director/Educator Preparation, Casting Notes, Selecting Performers, Working with Your Set, Program Suggestions, Integrating Curriculum, and Fun Facts.
